About Course

Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a course in Pharmacy which was approved by Govt. of India in the year 2008 with Pharmacy Council of India being the apex body governing it. This course was developed with an objective of developing pharmacists to play an important role in patient care as members of the health care team. Pharm.D is a 6 years program during which 5 years is academic session and sixth year is completely bound to internship in hospital.

ADMISSION IN PHARM. D.

Eligibility:


Minimum qualification for admission
Admission shall be carried out by Gujarat Technological University as per the prevailing norms
of university in accordance to pharmacy admission rules 2020 and all its subsequent amendments
duly fulfilling all prevailing PCI norms for seeking admission into Pharm. D program
Students of Gujarat should have passed following examinations:


i. 10 + 2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the
following subjects: Mathematics or Biology from schools located in Gujarat and affiliated to
Gujarat Board or CBSE or ICSE or International School Board or National Institute of Open
Schooling
ii. Candidate should have appeared in GUJCET examination conducted in the current year
OR
Students from other than Gujarat state (of India) & Union territories should have passed
following examinations:
i. 10 + 2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the
following subjects: Mathematics or Biology from schools located in Gujarat and affiliated to
Gujarat Board or CBSE or ICSE or International School Board or National Institute of Open
Schooling
ii. Candidate should have appeared in GUJCET examination conducted in the current year
Anand Pharmacy College, Anand 4
OR
i. A pass in Diploma Pharmacy course from an institute located in Gujarat and approved by
Pharmacy Council of India section 12
OR
i. Any other qualification approved by Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any one of the
above examination.
Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the
year of admission to the course.

Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued
by the Government of Gujarat as the case may be from time to time.
