Functions
Ensure that, go green initiatives are adopted by the institute and adherence to the ‘Go Green’ concept via tree plantation drives.
- Awareness drives for environment preservation, including plastic ban, restricted vehicle use, pedestrian walkway in the institution and campus.
- Promote e-methods for communication on routine basis
- Develop facilities for alternate sources of energy and energy conservation measures
- Develop water conservation facilities and waste water recycling and treatment
- Promote waste management and waste recycling systems for solid, liquids, biomedical, e-waste, hazardous chemicals etc.
- Promote the concept of Recycling and up cycling of the waste material.
- Promotion and implementation of concept of categorizing of waste and proper disposal of girls’ toilet blocks waste.
- Conduct quality audits on environment and energy initiatives in the institute through green audit, energy audit, environment audit
- Celebration of important days of National and International relevance related to nature and environment; World Nature Conservation Day, World Environment Day, World Water Conservation Day, World Heritage Day, World Earth Day, World Biodiversity Day and World Energy Conservation Day
