The objective of the Governing body of the institution is entrusting the strategic direction of the Institute, assuring that its policies remain aligned with the broad objectives, and supervising the quality and general progress of the Institute.

Functions:
- To ensure the operation of the Institute as per general guidelines of various statutory authorities viz. AICTE, PCI, Gujarat Technological University.
- To introduce newer programs at the institute as per need of hour
- To make recommendations on the planning and monitoring activities of the institution.
- To monitor and evaluate teaching programs of the institute and determine the teaching requirement to maintain quality of teaching.
- To appoint staff on the recommendations of the selection committee as per University regulations.
- To appoint committees essential for the smooth functioning of the institute and to achieve vision of the institute.
- To facilitate and ensure financial viability of the Institute through the Trust support
- To monitor faculty development, training and placement and industry-institute interaction activities and suggest remedial measures
- To exercise control over the academic policies of the Institution and suggest for the maintenance and improvement of standards of education in the Institute;
- To consider matters of general academic interest from the Trust or Principal of the institute and to take appropriate action;
- To delegate any of its powers to the Secretary of the Trust and Principal of the institute, for various activities of the institution
- To review academic, administration, innovation and research activities, student related matters, financial matter and staff related matter to devise various policies and obtain approval and decision on various norms and policy of the Institute
- To consider and approve the annual report and the annual budget of the institute every year;
- To review various recommendations of advisory body of the institute and academic area committee and approval for the same
- To consider the important policy decisions received from the University, Government and AICTE etc.
