Program Education Objectives (PEOs)

PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments in 4 to 5 years after graduation that the program is preparing graduates to achieve.

PROGRAMME EDUCATION OBJECTIVES (PEO) for B.Pharm

• To produce quality pharmacist with highest professional and ethical standards, communication skills, team work in their profession and adapt to current trends by engaging in lifelong learning.

• To offer personalized teaching and counselling to students and facilitate multi-faceted development of the students.

• To promote innovative educational endeavors.
• To update knowledge through organizing and attending various seminars, workshops, training and conferences.

• To encourage industry academic interaction.

• To provide state of art services and consultancy to pharmaceutical industry, community and student researchers outside the       Institute.

• To adopt pharmaceutical research in the best benefit of mankind.

The PEOs of M. Pharm program

1. To contribute positively to collaborative-multidisciplinary scientific research through self-management and teamwork in order to achieve common goals.

2. To demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceutical management and financial factors in project planning.

3. To communicate confidently and effectively with the pharma community and society at large, regarding health activities, be able to comprehend and write effective reports, documents and make effective presentations.

4. To disseminate research outcomes useful to government, pharmaceutical industries, health care providers and the community through publications and presentations.

5. To possess ability to identify business opportunities, initiate entrepreneurship and contribute as reliable resource for industry research, consultation and training partnerships.

6. To engage in life-long learning to improve knowledge and competence continuously.

7. To practice professional integrity, implement code of conduct, ethics in research for better research outcomes as a part of social responsibility.

The PEOs of Pharm.D program

1. To provide evidence-based patient care taking into account legal, ethical, social, cultural,
economics, professional issues and emerging technologies.

2. To manage and optimally use resources of health care system and thus improve therapeutic
outcomes.

3. To promote health improvement, wellness and disease prevention in co-operation with
patients and healthcare team members.

4. To demonstrate skills in monitoring of preventive and promotive health programmes for
the community.

5. To develop leadership qualities to function effectively as a member of health care team.

6. To communicate and counsel effectively with patients and the community.
